The topic of consolidation keeps coming up, so Dave talked to Mike Krongel of Mirus Capital Advisors. Mike lead inital acquisitions of resorts for Les Otten at American Ski Company in the last wave of major consolidation in the 90s, and then later lead the selling of those resorts after the feds forced the breakup. He has since been an active broker and advisor of buyers and sellers of ski areas and resorts.

Of interest is Mike's call for a summit of major stakeholders to pool marketing resorces and combat negative perceptions and focus on growth. Else, his predicitons are dire. Might NSAA step up? Time will tell.
