Responsive Ecommerce Website & SEO
Known worldwide for their beautiful Norwegian sweaters, we collaborated creatively with Dale of Norway's design team to deliver their creative vision within a mobile friendly "responsive web design" platform. Our collective goal was to deliver an ecommerce website to enable them to increase both direct online and offline sales of their high-end sweaters, cardigans and jackets world-wide. For their four primary markets, we created four mobile-friendly responsive design ecommerce websites that fallow best practices for SEO, e-commerce, and communication. One site for each primary market: US/International, Canada, Scandinavia, and Europe. Each site shares the same design system, but has appropriate language, SEO, content, inventory, and shipping rules. When visitors go to daleofnorway.com, their location is determined and redirected to the appropriate site.
On the backend, the website is built on our propCMS content management system. Its flexibility and our team’s skill enabled us to integrate with the company’s existing ecommerce provider, Shopatron. We tapped Shopatron’s API to pull inventory into the site and merchandize it in the most effective way. Once the hook is set and products are selected, the final check out and transaction process is handled back on Shopitron. We worked closely with Shopatron to skin the checkout experience and ensure that the customer doesn’t even notice the transition.
Since going live in late 2013, the company has seen substantial increases in sales and conversions per visitor.
